Directions

The South End Community Health Center is conveniently located at 1601 Washington Street, three blocks east of Massachusetts Avenue and one block west of West Newton Street and Blackstone Park. Flour Bakery and Walgreen’s Pharmacy are on the first floor of our building. You can reach us by subway, bus or car.

Green line (B,C,D,E lines).

To Copley Square. Take the #10 Andrew Station bus. Exit at Washington Street & East Brookline Street. South End is two blocks away, as you walk towards Massachusetts Avenue.

Orange line.

To Mass Ave. Station. Take #1 bus toward Boston Medical Center. Exit at Massachusetts Avenue & Washington Street. Walk three blocks, towards downtown, to the South End.

To Back Bay Station. Take #10 Andrew Station bus. Exit at Washington Street & East Brookline Street. South End is two blocks away, as you walk towards Massachusetts Avenue.

To New England Medical Center. Take the Silver Line bus to the Newton Street stop. South End is one block away, as you walk toward Massachusetts Avenue.

Red line.

To Downtown Crossing. Change trains to the Orange line and take the Forest Hills train to New England Medical Center. Take the Silver Line bus to the Newton Street stop. South End is one block away, as you walk toward Massachusetts Avenue.

Silver line.

To Newton Street. The South End is located one block, towards Massachusetts Avenue.

By bus.

Ruggles Station:

#43 Tremont – Exit West Newton Street. Walk two blocks down West Newton Street to Washington Street and take a right. The South End is one block on your right.

# 8 Harbor Point via Dudley Station – Exit East Newton Street. Walk one block down Washington Street. The South End is one block on your right.

By car.

There are several blocks of parking meters along Washington Street near the South End. Meters cost one quarter for each fifteen minutes. Meters are available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
