Sexual Health

Sexual Health & Infectious Disease

The Support Wellness: Specialty Integrated Care team at South End Community Health Center (SECHC) offers culturally sensitive and comprehensive screening and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and infectious diseases. Our multidisciplinary team provides appropriate screening and services associated with Hepatitis C (HepC/HCV), HIV, and other sexually transmitted diseases to improve quality of life and long-term health outcomes.

Sexual Health

To promote sexual health for individuals of all ages, SECHC offers education/prevention services, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) as well as contraceptive counseling during all clinic hours for both scheduled and walk-in appointments. For individuals at high-risk for HIV, we also offer assessments and individualized treatment plans for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).

Infectious Disease: HIV/Hepatitis C Screening & Treatment

We provide screening both within the health center and in the community for HIV and HepC/HCV. Individuals are then quickly linked to our primary care and specialty providers to discuss prevention and treatment options. Experienced providers will work closely with patients to manage treatment and minimize the effects of other chronic health problems. Patients diagnosed with HIV or Hepatitis C have access to individualized counseling services and community health workers.

Specialty Services Available:

  • STI’s (Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis) prevention education, screening & treatment
  • HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for individuals at risk for HIV infection
  • HIV/AIDs assessment, treatment and support
  • Rapid testing for HIV/Hepatitis C with referral to care
