In February 2012, the South End Community Health Center will honor the contributions and life’s work of Herbert P. Gleason with the establishment of the Herbert P. Gleason Community Health Advocate Award and Fund.
The Herbert P. Gleason Community Health Advocate Award has been established to recognize Herb as a champion of “effervescent democracy.” He has ardently supported access for the underserved and promoted community-based health care. SECHC is honored to include Herb among our family and supporters and we are proud to establish this important award in his name.
Proceeds from this event will be used to establish the Herbert P. Gleason Community Health Advocate Fund at SECHC to support health center initiatives that reflect Herb’s commitment to consumer participation, engagement and advocacy.
