Dr. Thomas Sterne

We are pleased to introduce our new provider.

Dr. Sterne has spent the majority of his career devoted to community health and the community health center model of care. He has served as primary care provider, urgent care director, medical director, and teacher of students and residents at MGH-Chelsea for many years. Fluent in Spanish, he has championed the needs and concerns of the Latino population and teaches the skills needed to accomplish effective cross-cultural care, focusing in particular on refugee care for recent arrivals to the United States. His special interests include health care financing, caring for the elderly, and adapting health center care to the special styles and needs of new arriving populations. Trained at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital, he brings skills acquired at premier institutions to their practical application within the community, with energy, commitment and carino!
